We find out so much about the folks who come in to the stores, and we wanted to make sure our customers can get to know our staff as well. This month we are spotlighting our Woodland store manager, Zaira Martinez.

Name: Zaira Astrid Martinez
How long have you been with Jackson Medical Supply?
This month it will be 5 years since I started at JMS! I originally started working in the Vallejo location before moving to the Woodland location as a store manager.
What is your job title and what does it entail?
Woodland Store Manager; I am responsible for making sure the store operates as successfully as possible.
What do you like most about working at JMS?
The relaxed work environment. Whether it be a sale or an order through insurance, JMS ensures we have time built in so we can make the best decisions, advice or customer consultations. We always get work accomplished in a timely manner, but never rushed.
What is the best lesson you’ve learned at work?
How to have patience for all kinds of tricky situations. There’s always time to figure out a solution.
Favorite product you sell?
Compression stockings. Nothing beats finding comfort for swollen or tired/achy legs/feet.
Hometown, state?
I grew up Irrigon, Oregon until I moved to California when I was 10 years old.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Go hiking and going on walks.
Favorite local restaurant or coffee shop?
Napoli Pizzeria
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Telekinesis. The idea of moving things and getting a lot with little physical effort sounds like my kind of thing. (Think of all of the lift chair rearranging!)
Favorite Movie?
I dont have a specific favorite movie but action or horror are my favorite genres.
